Indian Police Arrest Nigerian With One Kilogram Of Heroin

The Crime Investigating Agency of Mohali Police in India has arrested a Nigerian woman with one kilogram of heroin from a park within its jurisdiction on Friday.

According to Hindustan Times, the accused, identified as Faith has been staying in Delhi and frequently visits Mohali and nearby districts.

“The arrest came based on secret information that a Nigerian woman is coming to supply heroin to her clients in a park of Phase 7,” said a Senior Superintendent of Police, Navjot Singh Mahal in Mohali.

Faith reportedly confessed to smuggling heroin and said she had been doing so for a while.

“She would purchase the drug from Delhi and supply it in Mohali and Kharar at higher rates,” the SSP added.

Faith had been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act to a court and she is presently in remand.
