In 2012, the Lagos high court asked the NDLEA to pay Baba Suwe N25 million damages over flagrant abuse and infringement of his rights.

The drug agency, however, went to the appeal court which eventually quashed the N25 million damages awarded to the late actor.

Baba Suwe took the matter to Supreme Court but his lawyer, Bamidele Aturu, died along the line
