Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa, Nigeria‘s chief of defence staff, has stated that “The Armed Forces of Nigeria have a sacred duty to protect the people and the constitution.”
He said this yesterday in Istanbul, Turkey, at the 16th International Defence Industry Fair.
“Just like darkness can not drive out darkness, only light can do that. Globally, illegitimacy should not be allowed to drive out legitimacy”, he was quoted to have told pressmen.
Prior to his appointment, the new Chief of Defence Staff emphasised that his vision for the future of defence management included a focus on people, improved troop welfare, and interagency cooperation.
