Manchester United and Brazilian winger, Antony Dos Santos has dropped a statement stating that he will heed his club’s instruction to take a break and find a way to clear his name.
His statement came in the wake of the club’s announcement that the winger will take a leave pending when the investigation is completed.
The winger in a statement again reiterated that he’s innocent of the charges against him and promised to cooperate with the police to make sure the investigation is completed.
The statement read, “I have agreed with United to take a period of absence while I address the allegations made against me”.
“This was mutual decision”.
“I want to reiterate my innocence of the things I have been accused of, I will fully cooperate with the police”.
The attacker has been under intense criticism since his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin brought charges of physical abuse against him.
