Over 200 persons were displaced, with goods and property worth millions of naira destroyed, following a fire outbreak in Elekahia, a densely populated area in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Friday morning.
The incident happened on Friday morning, December 30 in Elekahia area in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It was learned that some of the affected residents have traveled for the festivities, while others were out for work when the fire started.
The fire started at about 8am in the morning.
It was gathered that the Federal Fire service immediately arrive to the scene to help put out the fire.
