A recent addition to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s social media team is internet-savvy, full of youthful charisma, and a Jewish believer in Yeshua: Hananya Naftali.
If you don’t know his name, you might know his face.
HananyaNaftali, an Israeli Jewish-Christian noted for his pro-Israel lobbying on social media, goes under the YouTube handle HananyaNaftali. “Special Words in Hebrew” was the title of his debut YouTube video.
He was born in Safed, Israel. He moved with his parents, two older brothers, and younger sister to an area called North Samaria when he was young. They then moved to a settlement near Tiberias. He has a niece named Elinor.
The 26-year-old Israeli Jew is on a path that many young people dream of—cultivating a social media personality into a lucrative career. Naftali is one of the most prolific and highly viewed pro-Israel influencers on social media. His videos are seen by thousands, sometimes tens of thousands, and he consistently advocates for Israel. Hanannya, however, is motivated not by fame but by his love for his country, Israel.
Naftali launched his YouTube channel in 2012, but it was after serving on a tank crew in the IDF during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza that he began making videos that went viral, and it’s not hard to see why. They are to the point, calmly presented, and short.
Hananya Naftali is a strong supporter of Biafra. On Biafra day, he wrote on his Twitter verified page for Biafra remembrance day.
He wrote;
Between 2-3 million Igbo people starved to death during the Nigerian siege on Biafra. Today, Igbos are still massacred, and the world turns a blind eye to it.
I stand with the Biafran people. Israel stands with the Igbos. #Biafra
Hananya Naftali has shown great support to Biafra and has agitated for the freedom of IPOB.
Recall during the arrest of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Hananya Naftali took to his verified Facebook page and reacted to the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
“This is alarming. Leader of Biafran people arrested for representing millions of Igbos. Supporting the Biafran cause is not ‘terrorism’ it’s freedom of speech!” He wrote.
