The Director, Forecasting Response Mitigation of FEMA, Mrs Florence Wenegieme, issued the warning while sensitising traders at Karmo Market on risk factors associated with fire outbreaks, on Thursday in Abuja.
Wenegieme also enjoined the traders to desist from selling kerosene, fuel and gas inside the markets, stating that the FCT Administration has banned the sale of such dangerous commodities the markets.
The director emphasised the need for all traders in the market to buy fire fighting equipment and keep them in their shops in case of any emergency situation.
