Nigeria’s senior national football team has ended the year 2021 as the 36th best team in the world.
The Super Eagles remain unmoved in December’s ranking published by FIFA on Thursday, December 23.
Nigeria amassed a total of 1478.78 points to stay as the fifth-best team on the continent behind Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
Nigeria’s 2021 AFCON Group D opponent, Pharoahs of Egypt did not change position also as they are in 45th place and sixth on the continent.
While Belgium finished number one in the world, followed by Brazil, France, England, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, and the Netherlands, making the top 10.
The next FIFA rankings will be published in February 2022.
