Federal Government through the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) said it has paid out close to N74 billion to members of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association Nigeria (IPMAN) in the last seven months.
Specifically, the NMDPRA, popularly known as the Authority in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, claimed that total payments made to the organization within the last seven months translate to a total of N73,969,892,941.84.
The Authority was ostensibly reacting to allegations made by IPMAN Suleja Branch attributing product scarcity to non-payment of bridging claims.
