A farmer, Semiu Raheem has fallen in the path of bullets from operatives of the Joint Task Force of operation Burst.
The farmer was shot as he was coming back from an event on Monday.
He was shot at a security checkpoint of the JTF, stationed at Lakatabu junction, Ado-Awaye in Oyo state.
“My friend was already dragging our motorcycle while I was walking behind him. The next thing I heard was a gunshot and I was the victim”, the 28-year-old father of two said.
Raheem also pleaded for aid from the state government and well-meaning Nigerians, as he is being treated for his bullet wound.
This sad event prompted the traditional ruler of the community, Alado of Ado-Awaye to plead with the area police command to call the operatives to order.
