Findings have it that Nigerians are the UK’s fourth biggest foreign spenders, they spend on average $500 in each shop they make purchase, that’s four times what average UK shopper spends.
It was gathered that Nigerians make up 18% of luxury shoppers in Dubai.
Dubai luxury stores sales dropped after UAE placed travel bans on several African countries.
It is also reported that in some countries when they see Nigerians in their shops, shop-keepers leave European customers and give attention to Nigerians.
In 2021 Nigeria’s revenue to GDP ratio was the lowest in Africa, this was made known by the Director-General of the Budget Office, Ben Akabueze, has said.
