Former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s 25-year-old marriage to his wife Ufuoma Bernard, Helen, has reportedly crashed.
The duo were said to be at loggerheads for a long time before the marriage finally hit the rock over protracted misunderstanding.
The Pentecostal preacher became vexed with his wife over allegations of infidelity and fraud, The Gazette learnt.
It is gathered that among the major disagreements between the duo was the taking over the ownership of Eagle Flight Micro-Finance Bank by Mrs Oritsejafor. An action which her husband detested, as the bank belonged to the church which they presided over.
In 2020, Mrs Oritsejafor accused her husband of making plans to kill her.
Mr Oritsejafor is the founding and senior pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, located in Warri, Delta State.
He got married to Helen in 1997, 13 months after the death of his late wife Stella with whom he founded the World of Life Bible Church on November 15, 1987.
The fiery preacher was elected president of the Christian Association of Nigeria in 2010 after his five years reign as president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.
