An Enugu State magistrate court has remanded in the Enugu Correctional Centre a woman, Mrs. Ada Ogbogu for allegedly breaking her three-year old stepson’s bone with a pestle.
LIB reported that the incident was made known by a neighbour who heard the victim crying and upon breaking into the woman’s apartment, they found the boy unable to stand and his leg was dangling.
Arraigning the accused on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the police told the court that Mrs. Ogbogu committed an act to cause grievous harm contrary to law, an offence that attracts life imprisonment as punishment if convicted.
