Aloy Ejimakor, legal counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has called on Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
He made this call on his Twitter handle on Sunday morning, where he reiterated that a call for self-determination of the Biafran people is a call on the state and not against the president.
Aloy Ejimakor ended the note by urging Bola Tinubu not to take the footsteps of former president Muhammadu Buhari, who he alleged took the Biafra call for self-determination as an assault against his office.
“A demand for self determination is a demand on the State, not against its President. It was Buhari who took it so personal that he killed many for it & renditioned #MNK to boot. A well-informed Tinubu (@officialABAT) is expected to turn a new leaf & end the injustice. #FreeMNK”, he wrote on Twitter.
