The Kano Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, secured the conviction of one Jamilu Sule before Justice Dije Abdu Aboki of the Kano State High Court on a one count charge of obtaining by false pretense.
The convict was sentenced to seven (7) years imprisonment with no option of fine.
Sule’s journey to prison started when he was arrested by the Commission following a petition which alleged that he obtained property of the complainant worth N7,677,000 under false pretense.
Upon arraignment on the 21st of May, 2019, he pleaded not guilty to the four counts charge brought against him.
During the trial, prosecution counsel ,Micheal Ojo, called 4 witnesses and closed his case.
