Burkina Faso reached for the first time the finals of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022 after a 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau in the second leg, second round match in Porto-Novo on Wednesday.
A 6-0 first leg away win over Guinea Bissau at Estadio 24 de Setembro last Wednesday gave the Burkinabes a massive edge thanks to Juliette Nana’s brace, Adele Kabre, Adama Congo, Madina Rouamba and Limata Nikiéma in Bissau.
Guinea-Bissau, on their own part, were eager to avoid shipping more goals in the second leg encounter as they visit Burkina Faso on their adopted home ground at Stade Charles de Gaulle in Benin.
