Laye was born on the 3rd of June 1993, hails from Bayelsa State in the southern province of Nigeria.
Laye’s journey into music started at an early age, while in secondary school he fell in love with rap, he wrote his first rap lyrics while still in secondary school.
While in the university he got an insight and ventured into music professionally.
Laye’s song wife material earned him his first award in 2018, Galaxy music award (GMA) for best afro-pop musician of the year. Laye has performed at The Nigeria Queen pageantry, one of the top pageants in Nigeria.
