Bandits in an attack on Kafin Koro Community in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State in the early hours of Sunday have burnt a Reverend Father, Isaac Achi of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, to death.
It was gathered that after his attackers could not gain access to him as a result of fortified security, they decided to burn down the building in which the priest was.
The Niger state police command confirmed the attack.
Wasiu Abiodun, the police spokesperson, said the bandits razed the building after failing to gain entrance into the priest’s residence.
Abiodun said another priest was also shot while trying to escape from the attackers.
