Born Toke Makinwa on the 3rd of November 1984, is a Nigerian radio personality, television host, vlogger, fashion entrepreneur and author.
Toke’s moment of breakthrough came in 2010 when she co-hosted Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM.
This lead her to host Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) in 2012 which was her first television appearance.
Toke graduated from the University of Lagos where she studies English and Literature.
In 2014 she was honoured by the Nigerian Broadcast Award for Outstanding Female Presenter of the year. In 2017, she won Advance Media for Most Influential Young Nigerian in Media and was honoured on the list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans by African Youth Award in 2018.
She released an autobiography which she toured the US, UK and East Africa to promote. The book was about her rise to fame and all about her life. The book is titled On Becoming, which was released in 2016. Toke has her fashion line and skincare brand.
In 2021 Toke was announced as the host of Gulder’s ultimate search. She currently co-hosts the Voice Nigeria with Nancy Isime as of the time of this report.
