Two second-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez in the 46th and 67th minute respectively, saw Argentina secure the top spot in Group C, to book a place into the FIFA World Cup round of 16.
Poland made it to the group stage, thanks to the goal difference advantage over Mexico.
Argentina will proceed to face Australia in the next round of the world cup, on the 3rd of December 2023.
The Argentines seek to fight to the last day of the competition, after failing to win the prestigious tournament in 2014, when they fell to Germany 1:0, through a famous Mario Gotze’s goal.
