Born Fally Ipupa N’simba, on the 14th of December 1977, is a Congolese singer, songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and music producer.
Fally Ipupa started singing in his church choir, where his love for music was groomed. Later in life in the mid-1990’s he joined a musical group ‘New City’ in the late 1990’s he joined the “Latent Talent”.
Fally Ipupa released his first solo album in 2006, which was titled Droit Chemin.
Fally Ipupa has won various awards and gained international recognition some of them include, Grammy Awards 2009, for the category of Best International Act, MTV Africa Music Awards 2010, for Best Male, Best Video, and Best Francophone. BET Awards for Best International Act: Africa, MTV Europe Music Awards for Best African Act in 2011, MTV Africa Music Awards for Best International Act: Africa and Best International Act in 2015 and many more awards.
