Currently, anyone who is against Lionel Messi would receive the full wrath of the social media. This is privy to the backlash that has followed Nollywood actor,Alex Ekubo ‘offensive joke’ on colleague, Ebube Nwagbo.
It was said that the actress had previously congratulated Messi on his World Cup victory over France on Sunday, December 18 in Qatar’s Lusail stadium.
She then went further to share her message, hailing him as the Greatest of all time, with the hashtag #Goat, along a phot of herself with Messi in a boutique.
However, Alex Ekubo reacting in her comment section jokingly wrote;
“No be to post picture wey dem beg snap. WhatsApp him to congratulate him & say MeeMee congrats boo. Na dat one go pain me die.”
His comment attracted series of backlash from fans who found his joke offensive.
