Amid the gruesome killing of Deborah Samuel, a Christian female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Wamako, by Muslim fanatics, Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, hosted a summit for All Progressives Congress female aspirants.
Mute over Ms Samuel’s killing since Thursday, Mrs Buhari took to her Facebook page on Saturday posting photos of the summit she hosted for APC female aspirants.
“Earlier this afternoon, I hosted the APC Female Aspirants to a summit in collaboration with the office of the APC Women Leader,” Mrs Buhari said.
“I commended the aspirants for their courage and also charged the Nigerian women and men to give their support and commitment in ensuring that more female aspirants emerge as candidates of the various political parties and ultimately elected into offices, as partners for progress and development,” she added.
