Access bank have introduced a ‘W’ debit card, which was specially produced for use by women.
The debit card was unveiled on Friday, at the Grand Finale of “W’’ Initiative’s Womenpreneur Pitch-A-THON Season 4 in Lagos.
Speaking on the innovation, the Chairman of Access Bank, Dr Ajoritsedere Awosika, said “The Access Bank card for women is an innovation and the innovation is linked with identity and the identity is linked with women.
The Wcard is as basic as any other ATM, except for the targeted audience behind its production; women.
At the unveiling, Chizoma Okoli, the Deputy Managing Director Retail Banking, South, explained the main objectives and features of the card.
“The card is special and shows that women are special. Created for every woman, with it , one can shop online and pay bills”, she said.
The first-ever ‘WCard’ was presented to Dere Awosika.
