Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has vowed to remain in the 2027 presidential race, insisting that no court ruling or political manoeuvre will force him to withdraw.
Reacting to the latest court ruling, Atiku declared that he would be on the ballot, adding that Nigerians must be allowed to decide their future through a free, fair and credible election.
He also accused the Tinubu-led government of using political pressure and courtroom manoeuvres to weaken the opposition and push Nigeria towards a one-party state.
Atiku further criticised the government’s handling of the economy, citing rising food and fuel prices, the depreciation of the naira, insecurity and the hardship facing Nigerians.
He concluded by declaring: “Bola cannot use the courts to escape the judgment of Nigerians at the ballot box.”
Atiku made the remarks in a statement dated November 6, 2026.
