Four people have been killed and 16 others injured after a container truck overturned onto an interstate Toyota Hiace bus on Berger Bridge, inward Eleko, along the Ibeju-Lekki Expressway, Lagos State, in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said preliminary findings indicated that the truck was travelling at excessive speed when it collided with the bus, causing the driver to lose control while attempting to avoid the collision.
Emergency responders, alongside the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the police, rescued the injured victims and took them to Epe General Hospital for medical attention.
