Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Osun State, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu rather than criticise him over the country’s economic hardship.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, the former Osun State lawmaker acknowledged Nigerians’ suffering but insisted that Tinubu was working to improve the economy.
He defended petrol subsidy removal and the floating of the naira, describing them as necessary reforms already producing positive results despite the hardship they caused.
“What the President needs at this point is our encouragement, not harsh criticism or name-calling,” he said.
“What he met when he assumed office was a battered economy, and since then, he has been working round the clock to address the economic crisis.
