The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old butcher, Selim Ayodele, over the alleged stabbing to de@th of his 26-year-old colleague, Ibrahim Wasiu, following a disagreement over sweeping the floor at their workplace in Alagbole.
The incident reportedly occurred on October 18,at a cow meat-selling outlet where the two men worked.
In a statement on Friday, October 23, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the incident was reported at Ajuwon Police Station at about 8 p.m.
According to the police, the disagreement escalated into an altercation, during which Ayodele allegedly attacked Wasiu with a knife.
“During the altercation, the suspect allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed the deceased in the left side of his chest before twisting the weapon,” the statement said.
The police added that Wasiu was rushed to Life Hospital, where he was confirmed d+ed on arrival.
