FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has declared that he should not remain in office if he fails to deliver the expected results in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking to an audience, Wike said his continued stay as minister should be tied to his ability to perform, insisting that losing the FCT politically would mean he had failed at his responsibility.
“And if I cannot deliver where I am, I am not worthy to be here,” Wike stated, as the audience responded in agreement.
He explained that he considers himself a practical politician and believes public office holders should be held accountable for the results they produce.
According to him, if he cannot secure victory for the President in Rivers State, he would also have no basis for repeatedly campaigning for the President while occupying the position of FCT minister.
