A 32-year-old woman, Ogechi Ofoma, has been arrested by security operatives in Anambra State following the alleged br¥tal ab¥se of her seven-year-old daughter, Oluebube Ofoma, in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.
The girl was reportedly rescued on Sunday, September 13, 2026, after security personnel from Ibollo Community, Awada-Obosi, and concerned residents intervened when the ab¥se came to light.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Command received a report that evening concerning the ab¥se and severe injuries sustained by the child.
Ikenga explained that preliminary information gathered by the police indicated that the seven-year-old had suffered serious physical ab¥se, including injuries reportedly caused with a hot kn+fe.
