Releasing Records on Alleged Dr¥g Tr@fficking Investigation Involving Tinubu Could Put Lives at Risk and Expose FBI Techniques — FBI Tells U.S. Court

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has asked a federal court in Washington, DC, for permission to privately explain why it withheld some investigative records linked to allegations of dr¥g tr@ffickinginvolving President Bola Tinubu.

In an August 20 application, the FBI said it could not publicly disclose the full reasons for withholding certain information and wants to submit an ex parte, in camera declaration directly to the judge.

The agency said it relied on several Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemptions, including provisions covering law-enforcement techniques and information that could potentially endanger an individual’s life or safety.
