Farmer arrested after killing Fulani Harder during altercation in Kaduna

Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have arrested a 33-year-old man following an altercation between a farmer and a Fulani boy that resulted in the death of the latter in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 6:10 p.m. on August 11, 2026, in Ninzo South Ward, where troops deployed at Raga General Area responded to a distress report concerning the altercation.

Upon arrival at the scene, the troops arrested the suspected assailant, identified as Danjuma Luka, 33.

The circumstances surrounding the altercation and the death of the Fulani boy are being investigated.

The suspect is currently in military custody and is expected to be handed over to Keystone for further necessary action.

Security personnel have maintained presence in the area to prevent possible reprisal attacks and preserve peace between the farming and herding communities.
