Six Suspected Oil Bunkerers Arrested as Troops Dismantle Illegal Bunkering Site in Lagos

Troops of the 65 Battalion of the Nigerian Army have dismantled a suspected illegal bunkering site in the Orile area of Lagos State and arrested six suspects during an intelligence-led operation.

The raid, carried out under the leadership of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel S. Adeojo, followed credible intelligence on the suspected illegal activity. During the operation, soldiers apprehended six suspected oil bunkerers and recovered four trucks, a pumping machine, as well as several pipes and drums believed to have been used for illegal bunkering.

The suspects and all recovered items have since been handed over to the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for further investigation and other necessary legal actions.
