25-Year-Old Corps Member Doctor D+es After Seeking for a  Sick Leave for 3 Weeks 

A heartbreaking incident has sparked outrage online following the reported death of Dr. Wisdom Oghenetega Enakirerhi, a 25-year-old medical doctor serving as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.

According to reports, Dr. Enakirerhi became seriously ill while carrying out his national service. Despite reportedly requesting sick leave for about three weeks to seek proper medical attention and recover, his request was allegedly denied.

A doctor identified as Dr. Akpoyibo, who shared details of the incident, claimed that the young physician had spent seven years in medical school, completed his one-year internship, and was serving in the NYSC when his health deteriorated.

According to Dr. Akpoyibo, “A 25-year-old medical doctor who spent seven years in medical school, completed a one-year internship, and was serving in the NYSC was sick. He asked for permission for a three-week leave, but it was not granted, and now he is dead.”
