In an interview on the Nevon Podcast, NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi addressed issues of insecurity and leadership responsibility in Nigeria.
Obi responded firmly on the need for decisive authority in tackling criminality, referencing his experience in office. When asked if he was the commander-in-chief now that children are being abducted what will he do? He said;
“I fought criminality in Anambra State. We were asked for. Head on! It’s one government. It’s either I’m in charge or they’re in charge. One person must be in charge.”
