Owo Church Att@ck: We Will Appeal D+ath Sentence Verdict — Defendant Counsel, Abdullah Mohammed

The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced four members of the Al-Shabaab t+rrorist group to d+ath by hanging over their involvement in the June 5, 2022 att@ck on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. One other suspect was discharged and acquitted.

Delivering judgment, the court found the three defendants guilty of participating in the d+adly a§§ault, while the fourth defendant was acquitted.

However, defence counsel, Abdullahi Mohammad, expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling and confirmed plans to challenge it at a higher court.
