The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has set Sunday, June 14, 2026, aside as a nationwide “Black Sunday” to honour victims of t+rrorism and other vi%lent att@cks across the country.

The group also announced a three-day prayer programme from June 12 to June 14 to seek divine intervention over Nigeria’s worsening security situation.

CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, speaking after the 2026 National Church Denominational Leadership Summit, said prayers alone cannot solve the crisis and called for urgent government action.
