I can not do anything about insecurity until I am elected the president in 2027 – Gov. Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has lamented his inability to fully tackle the growing wave of k+dnappings and abd¥ctions in the state, saying governors lack constitutional control over security agencies despite being referred to as Chief Security Officers.

Speaking in Ibadan on Saturday while accepting the presidential nomination of the African People’s Movement (APM), Makinde said the continued captivity of abducted schoolchildren and residents in Oyo remains p@inful.

“Today, innocent schoolchildren and citizens abd¥cted by criminals remain in captivity in Oyo State,” he said.
