the 2027 general elections begin to loom on the political horizon, the non-profit organization Working People United has officially called for a massive mobilization of support to secure a second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

The appeal was made during a high-profile courtesy visit to the Nigeria Youth Organization/Green Assembly Initiative on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, signaling an early start to strategic alliances ahead of the next polls.

Addressing the gathering, the National President of Working People United, Comrade Prince Williams Eniredonana Akporeha, characterized the initiative as a historic platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of the nation’s working class.

He emphasized that the group’s mission is to bridge the gap between government reforms and the citizenry, ensuring that the structural changes currently being implemented translate into tangible benefits for the most vulnerable members of society. Akporeha noted that while the administration’s economic reforms have introduced temporary challenges, they are essential for long-term prosperity.
