The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Bayegun Nathaniel, for the alleged abduction and k!lling of a 16-year-old girl in Ojigo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the girl, Adegbaaju Florence, was abducted last month in the Ogijo area.
Following a report, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command carried out an intelligence gathering and arrested the suspect on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The spokesperson for the command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the suspect was apprehended following sustained intelligence-led operations.
Babaseyi said the suspect admitted his involvement in the alleged crime, saying he acted alone.
