Authorities have confirmed that a former student opened fire at Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School on April 14, 2026.
The attack left at least 16 people injured, including students, teachers, a police officer, and a canteen worker. No fatalities were recorded among victims.
The suspect, an 18/19-year-old former student, reportedly used a shotgun before being cornered by security forces and taking his own life inside the school.
The incident occurred in Şanlıurfa Province, where officials say emergency response teams quickly secured the area and evacuated students.
