Jos Crisis: President Tinubu Orders Installation Of 5,000 Surveillance Cameras In Plateau

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday directed the deployment of over 5,000 surveillance cameras across Plateau State following the recent k+llings in Jos.

The order came during a meeting with political and traditional leaders in Jos, days after the Palm Sunday att@ck in Angwan Rukuba that claimed more than 30 lives.

Tinubu said the initiative would strengthen security operations by allowing law enforcement to quickly identify and track perpetrators.

He instructed the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, to provide details of the plan. “We are going to immediately deploy a network of over 5,000 cameras to help law enforcement agencies identify troublemakers in real time,” the President stated.
