Tinubu Vows as He Directs Security Chiefs to Relocate to Maiduguri

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent att+cks in Maiduguri, describing them as desperate acts by t+rrorists under pressure from Nigerian security forces.

In a strongly worded statement, the president expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended sympathy to the inj¥red, while standing in solidarity with residents of Borno State during what he called a difficult time.

Tinubu insisted the att+cks were the “final desperate attempts” by criminal elements seeking to spread fear, stressing that ongoing military operations have significantly weakened them. He assured Nigerians that efforts to eliminate terrorism would be intensified across the country.

The president also praised the bravery of the armed forces and civilian task groups for successfully repelling coordinated a§§aults on military positions in the state. According to him, security forces remain determined to crush insurgent activities.

Highlighting recent actions, Tinubu revealed that he had approved additional equipment and operational support for security agencies during a high-level meeting last weekend.

He added that security chiefs have been directed to relocate to Maiduguri to take charge of the situation, while emergency responders have been instructed to ensure proper treatment for the inj¥red.

Reaffirming his administration’s stance, Tinubu declared that t+rrorists would find no safe haven anywhere in Nigeria, vowing they would be tracked, confronted, and defeated.

“Nigeria will not succumb to fear,” the president stated, reinforcing his commitment to restoring peace and security nationwide.
