Nigerian Drug Dealer Arrested In South Africa With Drugs Worth ₦34 Million 

TMPD Arrests Nigerian Drug Dealer During Drunk Driving Operation in Pretoria North, Drugs Valued at R400,000 Seized

Tshwane Metro Police officers arrested a suspected drug dealer during a drunk driving operation in Pretoria North on 17 January 2026. Officers stopped a silver Volkswagen Polo with one occupant, identified as a Nigerian national after inspection.

A search of the vehicle revealed suspected illegal narcotic substances in the glove compartment, under the seat, and in plain sight in the steering wheel storage compartment.

Police seized two transparent bags of dagga, seven rolled dagga joints, one CAT block, one nyaope block, and eight foreign illegal medicine pills valued at R400,000. The suspect was arrested and detained at a police station.
