The Anambra State Police Command has identified Ifesinachi Ezeolu, a 28-year-old male, as the individual behind the violent conduct of the Agaba Awgbu masquerade.
The Police reiterated that while cultural and traditional practices are respected, no masquerade or cultural activity is allowed to compromise citizens’ rights through assault, intimidation, or public disorder.
The Command assured the public that investigations are ongoing to identify other persons involved and reaffirmed its commitment to working with community leaders to ensure peaceful cultural expressions and public safety.
