RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, denies reports that he carried a placard in protest against former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has accused journalists of misrepresenting the date he carried a placard during a prayer walk, saying the incident was wrongly linked to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Adeboye explained that the prayer walk took place in 2020, five years after Jonathan left office in 2015, and was organised to pray against insecurity and killings in the country.

He spoke during the church’s November Thanksgiving service on Sunday, saying the report portrayed him as a wicked man for allegedly carrying a placard against the former president without journalists verifying the circumstances surrounding the incident.
