Two young men identified as bricklayers were reportedly apprehended by youths in Obodogba, Okpanam, near Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday, while allegedly attempting to b¥ry a little girl.
Residents reportedly raised the alarm after spotting the men, forcing them to exhume the body before taking them to Okpanam Divisional Police Station for investigation.
The circumstances surrounding her d+ath remain unclear, while rumours of possible s+xual a§§ault have yet to be independently verified.
A video shared on X shows youths dragging the two suspects towards a field, where they were seen be@ting them.
In the footage, a voice could be heard saying, “Don’t k+ll him but let’s take them to the police station.”
One of the suspects insisted he was innocent and denied being a rit¥alist, saying, “I am innocent, I am not a rit¥alist. The girl is my daughter.”
When asked who k+lled the girl, he replied, “She d+ed, nobody k+lled her.”
