Three people have been k+lled following a clash between vigilantes and youths in the Kpakungu area of Minna, Niger State.
The incident began on Saturday night, October 3, when vigilantes reportedly mobilised to the area to arrest suspected hoodlums. During the operation, one of the vigilantes allegedly sh%t and k=lled a man identified as Aliyu.
The sh%%ting triggered protests in the community, prompting the police to deploy patrol teams to restore calm. The Niger State Police Command said efforts were ongoing to arrest the vigilante member allegedly responsible for the sh%%ting.
However, the situation escalated in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, when suspected hoodlums reportedly blocked the Bida-Minna Road while protesting Aliyu’s de@th. The group later moved to the Gbeganu area, where residents were att@cked.
