Three persons have been killed, and two others missing after a suspected armed militia reportedly attacked a group of herders in the Alohom community, Sabon Gari district, Mangu LGA of Plateau state.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication, reported that the attack, which occurred on Saturday, also resulted in the deaths of 36 cattle, while 12 others sustained gunshot wounds.
The publication said troops of Sector 8, Operation Enduring Peace, discovered the bodies of the herders following reports of an attack on herders in the area.
Makama said other victims sustained injuries, while the dead cattle were found with gunshot wounds.
