NDLEA operative st@bbed to de@th in Bauchi

An operative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Bauchi state was st@bbed to de@th by an unidentified person.

The NDLEA operative was reportedly stabbed in the stomach on Tuesday, September 8, while carrying out official duties with other personnel at Anguwan Zango, Tilden Fulani, in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Residents of the area say the anti-drug officials had stormed the Zango area of Tilden Fulani, where hoodlums used to indulge in smoking weeds and taking other dangerous drugs.The officials had arrested one of the hoodlums and were taking him away when others resisted. One of the hoodlums allegedly used a sharp object to stab the NDLEA operative while trying to resist the arrest and free the suspect.

The hoodlums reportedly fled the scene after the incident, leaving the NDLEA operatives to attend to their injured colleague who later d!ed from complications from the injury.
